Local Resources in Kansas City: Ability KC

If you are living with a disability, it can be difficult to find resources in your area. That’s why we highlight other organizations and programs in various areas of Missouri, bringing them to the attention of those in need. One such organization, located in Kansas City, MO, is Ability KC.

Ability KC was originally founded help children with special needs and veterans returning from World War II. Over the years, their scope has expanded. They now offer outpatient rehabilitation services, employment services, specialty services, and more to the local area. They also accept help from volunteers if you are moved to help our community. For more information, visit their website at https://abilitykc.org/.

If you are in need of domiciliary care in your home, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care, Access Personal Care, LLC can help. If someone you know is in need of care at home, and their MO Healthnet benefits are active, you could get paid to take care of that friend or family member with a disability! Your loved one could be cared for in their own home and stay out in their community. Call us at 816.822.7432 or email at info@accesspersonalcare.org for more information.
